BaliGenie does not want an administrator username to stand in for editorial accountability. During the current pre-launch stage, site-level articles and guides may use the brand byline BaliGenie Editorial Team. This page explains what that label means and how named contributors will be handled when they are introduced.

Author/reviewer profiles

BaliGenie Editorial Team

Type: site-level editorial byline, not a named individual.

The BaliGenie Editorial Team byline is used for content created or reviewed under the site’s documented editorial process when there is no named contributor whose biography should be attached to the page. It replaces technical account names such as WordPress administrator usernames in the public presentation.

This byline does not claim that a large newsroom exists. It is a publication-level label for BaliGenie editorial work. If a page later has a named writer, photographer, specialist reviewer or local contributor, that person should be identified separately.

Expertise

Expertise should be described specifically and only when it can be supported. A contributor who knows a destination through repeated travel can say that. A licensed instructor can describe a relevant credential if BaliGenie has verified it. A doctor, lawyer, immigration adviser or other regulated professional should not be implied merely because a page discusses health, legal or visa information.

For practical topics controlled by an authority, BaliGenie relies on the authority for the rule and uses editorial work to explain the decision in plain language. Source research is not converted into a claim of professional accreditation.

Contribution standards

Contributors are expected to write original material, identify uncertainty, separate personal opinion from factual claims and avoid undisclosed commercial influence. Named contributors should not submit copied descriptions, fabricated experiences or promotional copy presented as independent guidance.

Site-level drafts can be supported by research and software tools, including AI-assisted tools, but those tools do not receive authorship credit and do not replace verification. The standards applied to every draft are described in the Editorial Policy.

When BaliGenie begins commissioning or accepting outside contributions, additional contributor terms can be added before that work is published.

Contact/correction route

If you believe a byline is misleading, a contributor profile is inaccurate or a page contains a factual error, use Contact and identify the page. The Corrections Policy explains how factual corrections are reviewed.

BaliGenie will add named author profiles when there are real people and relevant biographies to publish. It will not invent a staff page simply because an SEO checklist says every travel site should have one.

Next step: read the Editorial Policy for the standards behind the BaliGenie Editorial Team byline.
