Listing Guidelines

Listing Guidelines: Bali Genie listings are useful only when travellers can trust what they see and providers can maintain the information over time.

Accuracy standards

A Bali Genie listing must describe a real business, venue, professional or service that the provider is entitled to represent. Use the current trading name, correct category, real service area, accurate contact details and only features that are genuinely available. Do not create several listings for the same operation simply to occupy more search results. If a business has materially different branches or locations, each listing should make that distinction clear.

Required information

Provide enough information for a traveller to decide whether to contact or visit: name, category, location or service area, concise description, contact route and the practical details relevant to the listing type. Prices, schedules, booking rules and availability should be stated only when they can be maintained. Bali Genie may require additional fields for particular listing types before a listing is considered complete.

Photos

Upload photographs you own or are authorised to use. Images should show the actual venue, service, team or experience rather than stock imagery that could belong to anyone. Do not add watermarks containing third-party promotion, misleading before-and-after imagery or photographs of guests who have not consented to that use. Keep the lead image useful at thumbnail size.

Prohibited content

Do not publish false claims, copied descriptions, misleading prices, illegal offers, discriminatory content, impersonation, hidden contact details intended to bypass platform rules, or content that infringes another party’s rights. A listing must not promise immigration, legal, medical, financial or property outcomes that the provider is not qualified and authorised to deliver.

Verification

Verification, where offered, is a check on the information or provider evidence specified by Bali Genie; it is not a guarantee of future service quality. A provider may be asked to confirm identity, business relationship, contact control, location, licence or professional credential where that is relevant to the category. The claim-listing function should only be used when the workflow is available and ownership can be verified.

Updates

Providers are responsible for keeping their listing current. Update contact details, location, service scope, major price structure and closure status promptly. If information is repeatedly stale, Bali Genie may reduce visibility or remove the listing until it is corrected.

Reviews

Reviews should reflect genuine customer experience. Providers may respond factually and professionally but must not fabricate reviews, pressure customers for positive wording or create accounts to review themselves. Disputes should focus on the specific transaction rather than personal attacks.

Enforcement

Bali Genie may edit obvious formatting issues, request evidence, suspend visibility, reject changes or remove a listing when the information is misleading, unlawful, duplicative or persistently inaccurate. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to account restrictions. Tourism businesses remain responsible for the licences, permissions and standards that apply to their operation in Bali.
